On September 3rd the Valentine and Springview churches where honored with the presence of the senior class of Platte Valley Academy (PVA), a boarding highschool operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Churches in Nebraska and Kansas.
Our Sermon was presented by three of the seniors, Kay McCarthy, Chris Agoki, and Joy Preston. Their topic was the three aspects of our
lives, physical, mental, and spiritual, and how God has created us have a healthy balance of these three aspects.
This week PVA's senior class had their "Senior Survival" weekend. On Friday they came up to Valentine and pitched camp at Valentine church members, Jerry and Lynette Olson's, house.
Then on Sabbath they came to Valentine church and conducted our worship service and Sabbath School pre-program. It was a real blessing to see these dedicated youth using their various talents to worship and praise God as well as draw us closer to Him.
During the potluck following the service they agreed to come out to Springview church and do their worship service that afternoon too! Some of the students said they had never been to church in the afternoon before!
Saturday evening they had a barbecue and just an all around good time at their campsite. Then on Sunday they went tubing down the Niobrara River on before returning to their campus in Shelton, NE.
A big Thank you to the PVA seniors for blessing us in such a great way!
