When I was a kid and a potential fight was looming, my dad would tell me, “Don't lower yourself to their level.” When he said this, I knew he meant that fighting was the low-class way of dealing with the situation; I needed to rise above the situation and respond positively.
In this sixth sermon in our series based on 1 Peter, God also tells us, “Don't lower yourself to their level” and gives us tips to live above the world while still living in and being a blessing to it.
