Have you ever felt like a stranger when you were around your own kin? Since I moved so many times in my childhood I find a strange phenomenon at family reunions. Here are all these people that I'm related to and yet I don't know them and, aside from a few physical characteristics, I don't have much in common with them—I feel like a stranger in my own hometown. If you're a Christian chances are that you've felt the same way before. In fact this is a theme that runs through the Bible book of 1 Peter.
Today we begin a sermon series on 1 Peter. Our goal is to discover how to live in this world as we wait to go Home.
