Have you ever taken a shortcut just to find out that if you
had taken the long way it would have been much better in the
end? Im afraid that by allowing pop-culture to define Christmas for us we can loose the true and awesome significance of Jesus first advent. Beyond all the jolly songs and chocolate, gift giving and family gatherings, snowmen and nativity scenes is a powerful message of redemption without which the season would be utterly empty.
So lets start in the very beginning by going to the last Book of the Bible.
