KR03 Grayed Out Religion8/9/08

Grayed-out Religion is the idea that there are no absolutes; no black and white, right and wrong. Whatever seems good in a person’s own eyes is good.

Grayed-out Religion contradicts itself. You see the statement that there is no absolute truth is, itself, an absolute statement.

Abraham Lincoln once asked, “How many legs would a sheep have if you called its tail a leg?” “Five!” came the answer. The president then said, “No, it would only have four legs. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it one.”

This sermon addresses the important questions relating to postmodernism such as: Is there really a such thing as right and wrong? What is the definition of right and wrong and good and evil? Is sin still a sin if I don’t know it’s a sin? Is sin still a sin if something good comes out of it? Are you too proud to admit that you have sin?

God’s Antidote: Not Grayed but Distinct.
